Ring Master

This blog is dedicated to my dearest friend.  I hope that in your lifetime that you are blessed to have someone of her stature in your life.  She has been my sounding board and my buoy to keep me a float in a sea or raging frustration.  When I started to consider mobile grooming she was always a phone call or text away.  Her presence has always been felt though my highest highs and my near bottom lows.  I am eternally grateful for the sacrifices that she makes to support every function and event that I have participated in.  For every adventure we brainstorm together, she is gives 110% of effort in everything she does.

With 3 kids, 2 dogs, 3 cats, 2 birds, 6 fish, 5 toads, 2 nutes, 1 husband....and a partridge in a pear tree, her hands are full!  She runs her household with the precision that would make a well executed military drill look like a bunch of  guys with clown shoes on, and to top it off she makes wicked baked goods from scratch.  One would think that with all of that going on her house would be a train wreck.  The answer to that is definitely NO.  Dust would be ashamed to show it's face on her doorstep.   Despite all that is going on she always has a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye.  She finds the positive in almost every situation.  She is a loyal rottweiler, the ring master, funny, playful and a fierce guardian of those that she is close to.

She has been there with me as I  transformed to a more relaxed person, someone that stops and smell the roses, and plant a few more along the way.  I think in some ways we were at the same place but on different levels. Sometimes she takes on more than she should, but she never complains.  She just gets the job done, that is how she is!  You won't find her hosting a pity party, she is too much of a go-getter for that!  I think the only time she sits still for more than 10minutes is when she nods out like a senior citizen!

As we sat in the doorway of Proud Mary on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon during an event, we watch the clouds and giggle like school girls.  I realize how wonderful it is to have someone that never tells you that they are too busy.  That never gives you a half hearted effort in any thing she does.  That is always willing to take time from her circus to help in mine.  That made my aunt a cheesecake from scratch before her surgery without being asked, and that made another cheesecake after she got her addicted to it to celebrate her recovery!  That can fit in any situation, and make everyone feel comfortable.  That never forgets to call daily.  That always has a plate ready for me on my late night runs.  That you can just genuinely enjoy her gut splitting laughter on any given day.  And last but not least, that bakes like my Granny use to!

To my dearest friend, I say Thank you!  Just for being your wonderful you!  This world would not be the same without you!

Till next time......Welcome the Fall!

Deliver the news face to face when at all possible. We’ve heard horrendous stories about companies notifying employees about a layoff via email.
